when to go 12/12 with the lights

right think i got the lights sorted - gonna get a 400w Sunmaster Grow Lamp

Now my girls are about 10" tall with little leaves - think their about 3 weeks old - they are
on 18 hours at the mo -when should i change to 12 /12 light?

i know the lights are shit get a new in a few days.

My mates from the same batch are now 2 or 3 times bigger then line now.

only a very small amount of growth since i've had them

I would do it about 12 - 15" and transplant into larger pots about the same time.

You can veg them as long as you want. Just remember they will double or triple in size during flower. Its all in how much room you have to grow. I would let them get toi about 18 inches before flower.

is their a reason that you are needin to go 12/12 so soon like lack of space or somethin?
i just ask cuz you will binefit alot more if you can wait it out untill their at least 36in..
theirs no need to rush things...patince is a virtue...
if your just wantin some quick somke..can you just buy a bag to get you buy untill you harvest??
unless you are havein space issues...you can go 12/12 from seed also.....

thats cool - i was thinking that they need the 12/12 at a precise time ! great thanks - i'll change to 12/12 when there a bit bigger

I would actually go 12/12 4 weeks into it or when it is about 12-15 inches. Lighter up for 20 on 4 off cycle turning the time off by 1 hour weekly. Your plant should blow up within the first 3 weeks. Once the 3rd - 4th week hits (depending on if you are seeing flowering)

turn off the lights for a 24hr cycle (If you do not by this point see any flowering)
this should force a bit of flowering and you should see balls or calyxes.

However I noticed WHAT LOOKED LIKE balls when I first tried this, but they ended up SPROUTING Calyxes. Be sure and let them form for a few days before deciding to kill off your hard work.

then get the light going again 12-12, but be sure about your times making sure they TURN ON at the same point daily.
