when to determine plant sex

my plant is about 9 inches.. am using fox farm ocean forest soil and watering every 4-5 days . plant showing no signs of sex... what height will it will be at when showing signs?

4-5 weeks and about 8-9 nodes should be the time when you'll see the sex.

just put it under a 12/12 for a week or so and it'll either start stretching(male) or it'll show pistils (fem)

males tend to mature and show sex sooner in my experiences, i wouldnt force flower that plant just to find out sex a week or 2 earlier than if you waited and left it in veg to find out, but it is an option. just not a very good one imo

After the plant gets a bit bigger you could even take a clone from it and 12/12 the clone to determine the "mothers" sex. Regardless thats a nice looking plant, its got a healthy fat stem.

you might want to wait a little longer to do it. that way the shock shouldnt effect it as bad.
