When to add nutes to the system

Anyway ... I've only added a very small amount of nutes to the hydro system ... please advise ... when should I more ?

Not counting those first two round leaves from the seed, I wait until I see 4 leaves, although the 3rd and 4th are tiny, I then add 1/4 of the recommended amount of nutes. Then, after I see 6 leaves, again Not counting those first two round leaves from the seed, I add a second 4th. After I see two more, I add another 1/4 and so on.
