all i need is the new head part correct? or does it need more leafs below it to be a viable clone????

you dont need shit! just bubbleing water
will root in any light cycle damn near too
most just follow the rules though, read my thread if you want a cloner

I'm questioning about what part of the plant to cut. I cut where the new growth starts. is that ALL that is needed to clone? or does that stem with the new growth need fan leaves?

hmm i see that he uses big ones. which are fine. but what about small ones where I just have the new growth and a few leaves up top. NO FAN LEAVES. or any that even grew yet (but they would if I let it grow for longer). are those fine???

The leaves are not incredibly important as your main concern is rooting. Just do your own experiments and see what works. It is extremely easy to root cuttings with or without rooting hormone.

Do people say take the lower branches because they root better? I thought we took lower branches because the expected yield off them is lowest.

I like cloning the tops, when I "top" the plant. If it is new growth with no fan leaves, you might not be ready to clone.

Pretty kool vid. No E-Z Cloner? Got to try it. Almost 100% survival rate. Supa easy, set it, forget it, come back in 12 days;) I like the "scoring" or "slitting" of the stem, I will for sure do that on some of my next clones, and do some without (like normal). I bet the Scored ones do a lot better. Thanx.
