Hi, ive been looking when to top but all i see is people that says 2 week before flower, 2 week in flower, when its 2 feet tall. I wanna know when should I do it ?

Thanks ! + Rep

Topping for branching and shape should be done in the early stages of vegetative growth. Let the plant grow 5 or 6 nodes then pinch to four nodes. A few days after the pinch you will see the new branching arising from the nodes below the pinch. Topping before flower and up to light cycle change is the best time to do the pinching.

Topping before flower and up to light cycle change is the best time to do the pinching so your saying before going to flower .

so early veg or just before flower im confused /???

Any time in this framework is ok, from 5-6 nodes in early veg to a week or two before flower. The earlier you pinch the more time the offshoots have to size up.

If you are looking for clones, I like to top them around 8 nodes...so you can leave four shoots on the stem...if you don't want clones then pinch them around 5-6 nodes....pinching is easier on the plant, it doesn't slow growth....

wait 2 weeks inbetween pinchingn/cloning and before flippn the ladies....that gives time for the shoots to devolp fully, in veg youi'll get weak clones, if you go right into flowering you will get funky noding if you don't give the plant time to rest after pinching or cloning

Look into the "FIM" method of topping and learn how to bend/train your plant to grow to recieve the most light and fit your space and in most cases optimize yields
