When should I flower my plants?? (CFL)

So this next Tuesday will be four weeks
-My tallest plant is 7 inches tall
-Other 2 r short and bushy (5 inches)

I was wondering when a good time to flower th would be?
-I am trying to get an ounce with these 4 plants at least!!

Any advice about how long to wait to get a ounce?
Hieght?
Age?


ALSO should I switch my hours immediately to 12-12
or shoul I move slowly to that by taking an hour off every day when I flower?

Its all dependant on your situation. I like to give them 3-4 weeks in veg then flower. You can flower as soon as sex is shown. some people do 2 weeks some a month. It just depends on how much room you have.
I give them say 3 weeks veg, then a day and night in the dark then onto 12/12 for 50days,,ish./..

My tallest plant is 7 inches and other ones I put my light closer so they got a little more bushy. (8 plants)

I am growing indoor and this is my set up:
Lights- I have 2 40 watt fluorescent sunlight
And a 75 watt fluorescent grow light from walmart
(less than an inch away from plant)
Dirt- lawn and garden starting mix(has perlite and seems to work good)
Fertilizer- Schultz plant food 10-15-10
Temperature- 70 to 80 F
Room- basically lined with aluminum foil
(I am growing in my bedroom in corner 2x1)

NOW I know there are a million things I could do better, better lights, better dirt, better fertilizer... I did my research an realize what I could do if I had a lot of money, but shitty for me I'm not rich lol.

I was just wondering if I could grow my babys with this lighting. IF SO how much would you guess per plant?
ALSO if you think I need more light for flowering or even now how much more
would I need?
(I plan on buying more flouresent eventually because I cannot affor MH or expensive lights).
When should I flower to get over an ounce
AND how long should u flower?
 
do you still have to sex them ? or are they female seed / clones ?
basically for 8 plants you will need about 300w cfl at least to get more than an ounce if still have to sex them you might end up from 3-6 female plants which you will need less light to get the same results.
look at the hair that they are about 80% amber or better yet get a microscope.

I have two under one 250w plug and grow cfl. its about 19,500 lumens, and yeah have two, one in 2700k and one in 6300k,.
Try work off of 10,000 lumens a plant in flower.
take it easy

can i get a link to the 250watt bulb you have that has 19.5k lumens.

i may have missed this. but what strain are you growing? 4 weeks and only 5 inches tall seems a little on the short side. What size pots are they planted in?
I myself wait for the plants to reach 12 inches. happens a little faster with a sativa then it would with an indica. i think if you went into flower right now with out the right amount of lights you would be on the short side of 1 oz dry.

yes always throw directly into 12/12

if you want to get an ounce a plant, then you want to veg for atleast a month and a half with those lights, id try and add a few more cfls 40/50 more watts and your be fine. temps are fine, you might want to try some lst techniques or topping as your grow space seems small
 
I have been vegging a plant now for nearly 2 months with a 250w cfl. Its a huge plant :) I am going to start flowering now. I take it beause I let it grow and veg for so long my yield should be biggeR?
 
I always find when I think I should start flowering I should wait a week or two longer just to make sure I get what I want if I were u I'd give em 2 more weeks then flower and make sure they are in complete darkness during night cycle for 12/12 or else they will slow growth and not bud as efficiently my technique for flowering involves changing the lights from 18/6 to 20/4 the last week of veg and then I induce flowering just to get a lil more growth and make the switch more extreme I don't know if this helps or not but I believe it does And I also wait till there a foot tall and then flower last time I had a 42 inch sativa and a 27 inch indica the sativa was a foot when started 12/12 so was the indica I got 32 grams from indica and 48 grams from the sativa dry weight wish I had better pics
