hey folks,

long time reader, first time post !!

quick question, I have just found out that my plant is female, is it too late to clone or can i proceed? I don't want to put the plant under unnecessary stress if the clones will just bud and not grow as much as they would if they were on their mother...

cheers

If your into 12/12 its really kinda late but you can take clones they will just have less success rate and take alot longer to get roots and revert to veg

how long have your plants been flowering for? im no expert but i think you can clone any time.... actually you have a better chance of rooting a flowering cutting because of the higher amount of carbs.... the thing about taking clones off of a flowering plants is that, depending on how long your plant has been flowering for, it will have to revert back to veg growth which will take time. i think it can take a month or longer to revert back to veg growth if you take a clone too late....... its also not a good idea to take clones from flowering plants and revert them back to vegging because it confuses the plants and can weaken its genetics(?), potency, vigor, etc....... i think.... soemthing like that..... my advice is go ahead and take a clone or two and experiment.. see what happens, it cant hurt anything..... good luck my friend....:peace::peace::peace::mrgreen::peace::peace::peace:

it became evident that it became a female 2-3 days ago, it's just a plant that's sitting in direct sun light, we've had a few cloudy days so i think flowering got triggered by that..

I basically have a bucket with an airpump + nutes, the thing is growing like crazy i'll get photos up soon.. the plant is about a month old and is about 1 foot tall and 30cm thick.

cheers for the help :)

Well tard had some right but clones take better in veg then flower so he just got turned around

ok i found it. i was pretty sure it was in the "the indoor bible" but it took me a little to find it... ok heres a quote from page 267 towards the bottom. "clones taken from flowering plants root quickly but require a month or longer to revert back to vegetative growth." i figured it roots quicker because of the higher carbohydrates content in the plant... im not recommending him to do this, i was just giving the guy as much info off the top of my head that i could...
hey FF whats up with PMing me about the horticultural H202?:mrgreen:
