i thought i read that as long as the plant has roots in the water it will encourage the roots to grow more rapidly toward the water if you stop the water drip. please correct me if im wrong im just lookin to encourage my little girls along best i can.

both of my girls have 2 longs roots in the water maybe 6 inches from the bottom of the net pot and the bigger of the two has a bunch of roots but they are only slowly growing toward the water and for the most part are just staying near the pot and a few are getting pretty thick. so i was thinking that it was just getting spoiled with all the water it was getting and it didnt think it needed to grow down anymore anyway hope someone could shed a little light on this before i got to be in a few thanks in advance!

I'm not sure man I wouldn't mess with anything if I were u. I shut my pump off and all of a sudden those extra side roots ur talkin about died off (I'm assuming it was because they weren't staying wet I also took my light covers I made off at the same time so who knows what it was). So just leave it on man don't mess with success. I mean my plants are healthy as fuck and I have a thick root mat but I wish i had left it on so that all that side root wood still be in the mix. As olmec wood say "the choice is yours and yours alone, so choose wisely."

By the way I put the covers back on first cuz I thought that was it(u know too much light gettin in the cup) but no change in side root action. Then I remembered that I shut the pump off so I put it back on and already I have some side shit goin on.
