When flushing for lockout, do I have to change nute brands?

Quick question for the pros...

I just did a flush for a potential lockout -- not sure it was lockout but better safe than sorry half-way through flowering.

After refilling the res with the same 3-part nutes I had been using (I made a fresh batch with a little tweak in the ratios), I read in the Cannabis Grow Bible that when doing a flush for lockout, it's recommended that nute brands be changed, too.

Is this true, in your experience?

Thanks!

Not true in my experience. I wouldn't switch nute brands in mid flower. Sounds like it could be stressful to your plants.

Thanks! I thought it might be stressful, but maybe that would be a good thing -- you know, "shock" them with a new nute solution so they start taking it again. But I'm much happier to hear an answer that means I don't have to do anything else for the time being. I'll wait and see what happens. Grazie!
