When do you give up on a germinating seed?

what color are the seeds? cause if they're a pale or whitish color they simply won't germ. but if not something must be wrong for all 4 not to germ. should have had at least one i'd think

That actually kinda depends...I had a batch of LR#2 seeds from a buddy that were all tiny white seeds...all germed just fine

Usually they germinate within 2 days, although Ive had one or two which havent so ive left them in a glass of water out of curiosity (easier than a paper towel for long periods coz it obvs doesnt dry up) and some have taken as long as a week and a half to germinate (no noteable difference to the success of the resulting plants either). Ive heard reports of some taking over a week as standard, never come across anything like that though.

ditto with some Reeferman freebie seeds 5 of 5 germinated.
