When clones go droopy

So I cloned these plants last night, approx 20 hours ago.

My cloning process was as follows:

  • I cut with pruners at 45degree angle 1/4 inch below a node
  • I slowly pulled node away bringing some skin
  • I dipped the end into Take Root
  • I placed cutting into soil and brushed soil back over it
  • I finally watered so to allow the soil to set.
I used 6CFL 26w 6500k lights after cloning on a 24/0 cycle.

The mothers were all returning into a veg cycle having recently gone into a flowering cycle.

They dont look too hot. Any idea if they are buggered or just chillin? :)

did you make the final cut underwater? this keeps an air embolism from happening. bringing some skin? what the hell are you talking about?? you watered the soil after you placed the cutting into it?? damn dude, where did you get your info.? cloning is very simple. first (as mentioned, get a clone dome.) you need to keep the rh at a high level. this is very difficult w/o a dome. i have no idea what you're talking about when you say skin??? that is a mistake. you want a nice clean 45 degree cut, no skin!! make this cut underwater. dip the end of the cut into the rooting hormone. then place the cut into the pre-moistened medium. some folks advocate gently scraping the bottom of the cutting (scraping the skin off) to aid in the formation of roots. do a search and do some reading...

Gangjababy's got ya on this one! Follow their steps closely and I can grantee they will perk for ya! Not that they wouldn't with your current setup but they're def not happy. A happy plant = a bigger plant

Thanks for the help.

So I came up with a quick fix for the time being.

The humidity went up from 33% to 70% with a temp holding at 27C. :)

I gave them a misting beforehand.

Should I be misting every day until I see them perk up?

ya, mist them, and clean the axcess moisture off the lid and sides, also make sure u have some holes, i hear its good to have holes in the dome so the plant can exchange oxygen in and out without sufficating.

could excessive heat cause this, 27c is what like 90f? i just took abunch of clones and put them in my new zen walmart ez cloner and came home 5 hours later and they were all droopy as shit, im going to leave the lid off the rubbermade and just have the humidity dome and see if that helps out, i had some in rockwool in a tupperwear and they all rooted after like 2 weeks.
