When's the earliest you can tell which strain you have? Right now, my sprouts have two round split leaves with 2 other ripped leaves coming out the other side.
When can you tell strain?

I guess I'll ask my dealer what it is then... He told me once, but I forgot! It's really good stuff though! It comes from some main grower a few towns over...

the only thing you could say from looking at a unknown strain is wether its indica or sativa dominent .

Could you elaborate? I'm new to growing but I'm a longtime smoker. I know I like my highs to be positive, energetic and able to do work happy sativa high. Not the stone cold droned body stuck high with indicas.
How can you determine the difference in the strain?

Sativa plants have narrow leaves. An Indica plant has fat leaves. Hydrid plants (Sativa/Indica - Indica/Sativa) have a mixture of narrow and fat leaves. You could possibly determine whether your plant is mostly Sativa or Indica by judging what leaf type are most predominant on the plant. ie: mostly narrow leaves would suggest the plant is mostly of a Sativa strain.

Thanks MisoHi. I knew the effects and differences in the indica stone high.. and the energetic sativa high.. but I didn't know the physical differences in the details of the plant leaves, etc. Thanks for the information. You learn something new everyday.
