When can i tell if a plant is dry? Being told two different things

Hello lovely people anyway how do i tell if my buds are dry enough for a good cure?

I've been told they're good when the stem.makes a crack sound then told don't wait for that moment

Other way is just to feel the buds and if they makes a crisp crunchy sound when squeezed they're good, just wondered if you could clear up some misinformation thanks don't wanna fuck up come harvest time

Put some buds and a hygrometer in a sealed mason jar and see where the rh level goes to over a couple hours. I jar at 65% and cure until 60%. Super easy and fuck all that cracking stem biz, not all stems are same size anyway.

What @Bugeye said...if it gets higher then 65 take th lid off the jar for a while and just keep checking the meter...After some time you'll get a feel for it

When you say you cure till 60% what happens then? You just leave it in the jars?

Smokey smokey time. Yes, leave in jars and stop burping them. About two weeks of burping twice a day.

You can also get some brovada packs that help stabilize rh when it gets where you want it.

Get the little cigar meters that fit in a mason jar.

If you don't have one you can put all your buds in a rubber maid tote and put the rh meter from your grow room and tape shut. I normally leave them over night or about 12 hours to make sure to get an accurate rh reading.

I'm usually at 80% in about 20 minutes. Lol. Into the bags they go. I get there eventually. Nothing worse than jarring them and waiting all night to find them at 55%. :bigjoint:
