When are the last two weeks of flowering?

How long exactly is a full grow cycle supposed to be? General Hydroponics (Feeding Chart) suggests an 9-10 week grow cycle. Some books suggest 11 week cycle (3 veg, 8 flower). I have some nutes here that are to be used dueing the last two - three weeks of flowering. All the the pistils on my buds are white. What during flowering the growth signifies that there is two weeks remaing? What happens if you start using nutrients specific for the last 2 weeks and the bud arent fully matured after that?
feed_schedule.jpg <--- G.O. Feed Chart that shows an 8 week grow cycle,

those schedules are confusing for this very reason.. how long a plant flowers depends on tons of things, so there is no one answer that fits all cases..
indica's tend to flower faster, say anywhere from 8-10 weeks, and sativa's can go from 10 weeks upwards of like 16 or more for full on sativa's ..

this is not the best thing to go by by a long shot, but once all of the pistils have receded back into the buds, you probably have about 2 weeks or sl left on the grow..
or you can always get a small hand held microscope from radioshack and use it to check out the trics, and when they get close to w/e color you like, then you will know they will probably have another week or so left on them..

Yeah ^^^. Best thing to do is trust your gut and eyes. Get yourself a good magnifying glass and keep checking the trichomes.

your Question is "When are the last two weeks of flowering?"
Answer....14 days before you harvest....:hump:

Thanks smartass. When's harvest?? Two weeks after the start of the last two weeks? Thanks to everyone else for their legitimate answers.

You need to look at the trichomes dude! when 50% are amber, not milky or clear...start your flush and you'll be good to go

ok cool, i check them out periodically with a loupe or mcroscope or something. ps. i though just te pistils turned amber not tricoms. Prob read it wrong somewhere.

Yes, you read it wrong somewhere. But if you wait until your trichs are 50% amber, you've lost a serious amount of your thc and allowed it to degrade into other, less psychoactive cannabinoids. It's largely a preference thing with trichs being that youre able to get a little more exact, but I wait until about 10-20% amber, mostly cloudy. The buds should have swelled around the pistils like mentioned too. IMO, when you think they look "ripe", give em another week.
