Hi there,
Just starting up a new grow in the next few weeks and wanted a bit of info and advice. I have a little experience of growing indoor and out from 16 yrs ago (making me feel old now).
I have a 5ft x 6ft x 6ft high room/shed. I have....
2 x dual spec 600w lights.
A rhino 200mm carbon filter and fan.
The whole room will be covered in ADF so plenty of light reflection.
A small fan to help circulate the air and an oil heater to reg the temp.
And all associated contactors, timers, fan speed controllers, soil, nutes/food etc.
I have 5 big bud and 5 big bang 2 beans (feminised) ready to go.
To save a bit of space and max the yield I will be LST'ing what babies come up.
I live in northern France not far from calais its starting to get cold here now, frosts and low day/night temps.
So that's the set up and scene.
It's my 1st time with big bud and bang 2, my previous grows were a hybrid called Pearly queen and mainly Haze and S. Skunk.
1. Does anyone have experience with these two strains who can give me any tips or pointers about how they do with LST?
2. How much extra yield would I normally get with LST on these strains compared to normal growing being as they are known for high yielding anyway?
3. Last time I grew indoors there was no such thing has dual spec lights, it was MH to veg and hps to flower. How much more or less efficient are dual spec lights compared to mh and hps through the veging and flowering stages? They guy in the shop said ds is the way to go.
That's to start and any help and advice would be greatly received.
Thanks, jj
