The problem is some one's neighbor or friend, rarely rallies enough support to run an honest campaign, unless he's connected.

Instead It comes down to what you look like, who you know, how good of a sales man you are, and how much money you can come up with. This explains how someone like Obama gets elected to the highest office in the land.

Do the democrats here think the congress has done a good job regulating the banking industry? Does anyone here have a clue WTF is going on in washington. Watch C-SPAN at least?
Unfortunately, I think most of us like to regurgitate an opinion from a media icon or what some one else has said on the internet.

Pointless exercise, youve gotta b a battery hen to believe that wat you see in front of you is who is in control have you not? In my eyes you may as well be voting for money or control not parties, mp's are also often dishonest, arrogant and unruly.

bingo. LOOk at the names in politics. LOOK where they come from

head honchos of the finance industry...and when they retire from one position, they either get promoted or somebody with the same connections take their spot... that isn't some kinda "mistake"

just to quote george carlin once more....

"it's a big CLUB...and you and I ain't in it"

or take gerald celente...

"washington is walllstreet and wallstreet is washington...it's an illusion that there is any difference. they're the white-shoe boys- from princeton, yale, harvard. people don't go to these schools and throw around this kinda money for a good education. they're buying into connections"
