plant is 14 days old now, and is in potting soil with blood meal mixed in,
using 2 CFL's and 1 fluorescent tube (cool white) 18 on and 6 off, was getting only
tap water till yesterday when i gave it its first taste of nutrients,

So is the yellowing from it needing the nutes
or is there somthing im doing wrong? :(

Yes I would have to say its from the nutrients as you do not need any nutrients yet. Or it could be a PH imbalance.

Do you test your ph level?

How much nutrients did you add in to how much water?

It was yellowing before i gave it nutrients
and i dont have a PH reader
I have 20-20-20 nutrients and gave it to the plant at 1/4 strength (5-5-5)

If it is a PH problem, the ph level is more likely to be to high than too low right?

way way way way too early for nutes im just starting this plant on fox farm grow big at 1/3rd strength tommorow.

you can mess it up bad giving it nutes before id say 3 or 4 weeks old. this plant is violator kush at 3 weeks old.

How old are they?

Need a tester to tell if it is higher, or lower. Tap water is unstable.

What Type of soil are you using?

How much of that 20-20-20 did you put in ?

How much water did you mix the 1/4 strenth into? 1 liter, 1 gallon ??

But if it was already starting to yellow, it may have been telling you to feed it.

And if it hasn't gotten any worse give it a week and see how it goes.

I personally use Distilled water from the super market.

And I would suggest to at least get PH test strips. Simple accurate.

You should check your ph on a usual basis. I check mine every watering.

couldv'e been the blood meal but more likely the pH, wait to nute and it'll get greener as the plant gets a little bigger then u can start to think of nuting, caise it is way to yound for undernute, good luck brotha

k ill stop giving it nutes

what do i do about the ph then, since i dont have a ph tester

go to petco and pick up ph up and down and a ph test kit 5.5 to 7 if you can find it.....in the fish section i think i paid like 15 for everything!!

and what everyone else is trying to tell you dont give a plant nutes until 2 or 3 weeks since the roots are still deloping rapidly to get itslef establish (think of wild week it doesnt nute itslef) nutes are enhancers and used at the right time and amount can be great fro plants!!!

hope this helps

nice start though keep it up!!

i'd say ur water might be too basic (my tap is over 7) or ur soil might be too acidic cause the blood meal raises ph i think

i fine that a good rule of thumb if your useing tap water atleast set it out for a day and let the sun tone the colrine down abit which shoud drop your ph level to what you need, but not all the timethe water i use on tuesday at my next watering is sitting out now so.hope that helps.that is the same on the water i mist with. but i dont put nuts... in till time of watering.

ok, im gunna put a little bit of baking soda in next time i water because im guessing its to low

you still wont know what the ph is at in the long run why dont you just take my advise!!!! and spend the money so you will always know

only 15 bucks!!!!!!
