All the gear no idea can anyone help?
Soil type ?
Type of water & how often you water?
Only small 4” pots
Some shop mixed coco that my mate got me he says it works for him but I’ve no idea what’s actually in it. Was going to use soil but my gf bought coco nutes so grabbed that last minute.
Ph’d Tap water 5.8. I checked ppm and it was 320-330 from the tap. only watered lightly when first potted until they felt dry again which took about 3-4 days then watered just enough to get a small run off, they were in a propagator for the first week or so under t5 they looked nice and green but weren’t growing fast, then I took the lid off and they started yellowing within 1 or 2 days.
That’s what I feared, thanks for the confirmation what’s my best option bin em? or will they be alright if I let them dry out?
Next time try keeping the pot/cup light and drop your ppm by mixing with r/o water.
I’ll do that. What ppm is right for this stage? Thanks for taking the time to help me out btw
Just don't water again until they are dry and don't worry about PPM at this stage
Its irrelevant and only complicates things.
I'm a soil grower for many years never even bothered with those meters even threw away my ph meter once I learned about dolomite lime.
It’s very hard water where I live so I just got a cheapo TDS meter just in case. It’s not the first time ive been told not to bother with it and I do want to keep things simple so I’ll leave it alone at least until I can get the basics right. Thanks for the advice.
Dolomite lime will buffer it for you, dont worry some of these gurus round here will overcomplicate something that's real simple and give you a bum steer albeit with good intentions. As I was told by a master grower use KISS, and I said what? He said keep it simple stupid lol! I still overcomplicated things after a few grows under my belt thinking I was really smart and clever and paid the price lol. So I just follow a really simple organic regime i worked out that works every time, year after year
How do you know your process couldn't be improved?
And exactly what is a "master grower"?
From what I've been reading here on RIU, the definition goes something like this:
A master grower is someone who is good at growing one type of plant (cannabis) and has only "mastered" one method...
So basically a "master grower" is someone who grows better weed than you.
By the way this post is not about me it's about a guy who needs help, I dont know if you make a habit of hijacking threads but if that's the case it's pretty unhelpful to the person asking for help and pulls the thread off topic.
No what I mean is you are a wanker that hijacks and trolls other peoples threads.
Name calling is against the terms of service.
You should be banned for breaking the rules...
Hi fellow grower!
Hate interrupting a good RIU banter but I have some homework for you.
We can chat later or tomorrow.
I don't think this is over yet.
I bet $5 on Chunky!
It's over he dont want any more.
I'll check it out
It's cute that you get upset when I don't respond quickly.
Your mommy must not have held you enough when you were a baby.
Based on your minuscule IQ, I'm thinking just about anyone grows better weed than you.
Are they "master growers"?
I am done with you you've been roasted too much already and I'm bored with you, go away you are nothing more than a fungus gnat to me, and you are ignored.
Declaring victory again?
I accept your surrender.
You really aren't very good at this...
Some useful info there thanks! I’ve been searching the internet for weeks now and that’s some of the most helpful guidance I’ve seen. If only I had joined this site before I messed things up! Thanks again.
