What's wrong with these plant? Unknown spots on them.

I post this thread for my friend. He has grown some plants indoors and currently the plants are sick, spots on their leaves. Could anyone tell me what was wrong with the plants and give some instruction?

He uses smart pots in order to get healthier roots.

Is he spraying the leaves with anything? And is he using calmag? Looks like soiless...yes? Whats the ppm hes running and does he get good drainage at waterings?

Have a look at the underneath of the leaves for any tiny tiny bugs

Growing in soil thrips and gnats will thrive unless countered. Looks like thrips to me. Also your floor is perfect for bugs to thrive in between your plants, which makes it easier for them to migrate from pot to pot. Maybe add basins, then spray/soak em. GL
