this is only a few days old..
ok the set up 8x10x7 room growing 4 unknown bag seeds, one month one week old, in soil generic potting soil, coco fibre, pearl light, myco's..., useing age old organic veg., and the liquid bone meal from nector of the gods, and using citric acid for ph down. and they just got put under , under a 600w hps. ph 5.5 -6.5 its really difficult to control my ph for some reason.. just fyi im running off well water...
this problem started about a week ago, so i checked my run off ph and it was at 7.0 and i had ph'd the nutes going in at 5.5.. so im unsure if its a ph problem or a deficiancy or damage from changing from cfls to hps... my temps are around 84 at its highest and 65 for the low... but the leaf looks other wise healthy except for the yellowish brown spots on the edges of the fingers... and seems to be only on old growth.. the new growth is light lime green with 7 or more fingers with a slightly darker vain... i did a flush the feeding before . plants really showed no gain or decrease in vigor. let me know what you guys think the problem is and your ideas for a fix , please remember im growing organic.

Usually like to see a pic of the whole plant before take a guess, but don't try to correct your soil run off pH by watering with really low pHd water...doesn't look to bad, just try to water around 6.3-6.8 for soil

yea every one does it different, and I actually have a good system that works for me and my plants. I do use a high or low ph'd water to fix a ph problem temporarily, will it be stable, no. but it will get the plant out of stress for a couple days.

but yes as bubcronic said, water with 6.5 water. even if the soil is wacked out, everytime you water with 6.5 water it gives the plant a few hrs of "pick up" time before the soil will thro the ph back into abyss. and it looks alright, not a huge problem, take a pic of the whole plant.

Those spots are sometimes a sign of over fert. ime. If the tops are good, and your not loosing bottom leaves, i would say give a lighter dose of fert.

Is the hps on 12/12? im running some tests with hps for veg growth. Not looking good!! the plants under the mh are alot healthier. And the ones with a mixed spectrum are the tallest.

I'll try to get a good pic of the the ones I have are all red from the hps... since 20140103_235338_Richtone(HDR).jpgthen I've watered with a lite bloom mix of old age organics mixed wit epsom salts.. and also foilular feed with calcium nute.. 20140103_235338_Richtone(HDR).jpgplants
