Whats this about light leaks?

Can someone clarify please...my plants are in 12/12 and they're in my closet and when I turn the lights off i try my hardest to make sure there's no leaks but I'm just wondering how outdoor plants deal with moonlight and shit...do light leaks really pose a threat to a flowering plant?

hermies are the product of a constant light leak...sometimes genetics play a role in hermies too... some strains hermie easier

Moonlight no...but a streetlight that shines light on a plant - yes. I actually saw a plant where only one side of it flowered because a streetlight shined light on 1/2 the plant. Light leaks are pretty serious - especially in a small grow environment.

just do the best you can - a closet should be fairly easy to lightproof though
interrupting the dark period i think generally means like literally turning on the lights or opening a door - direct light of some sort
this can cause hermies...
some tiny amount of ambient light sneaking past the folds of the towel you smash against your door... i wouldn't stress about (i would - i would definitely stress about it)
go sit in there and close it up...close your eyes...recite the pledge of allegiance and sing as much of the star spangled banner as you know...count to 100 - now open your eyes...
can you read a book? - you need help if you said yes, you should definitely work on your space
