I have this on another leaf as well. It has me a bit worried. My current set up is 4 T-12 Ecolux Flouros and 2 CFL 20 watt 6500K cool natural light . My current temp is at 70-73 degrees, Humidity is acceptable, I also have proper airflow and im growing in soil. I water every 2-3 days and give it nutes once a week. My other plant is doing just fine but this one seems a bit sick. Any help be gladly appreciated.

Hank.

Magnesium (Mg) deficiency.
Magnesium deficiency will exhibit a yellowing (which may turn brown) and interveinal chlorosis beginning in the older leaves. The older leaves will be the first to develop interveinal chlorosis. Starting at leaf margin or tip and progressing inward between the veins. Notice how the veins remain somewhat green. the leaves curl upwards like they're praying? They're praying for Mg! The tips may also twist.
This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
If the starting water is above 200 ppm, that is pretty hard water, that will lock out mg with all of the calcium in the water. Either add a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salts or lime (both will effectively reduce the lockout or invest into a reverse osmosis water filter.
Mg can get locked-up by too much Ca, Cl or ammonium nitrogen. Don't overdo Mg or you'll lock up other nutrients.

do not take any step until someone back me up on this problem
ur plant kinda look like that pic to my eye's.
Hope Dis Help

Yes but the last time i used nutes was a week ago. Just been using regular water and the Ph is at 7.0 which i heard is suitable. Someone told me it might be a calcium issue. I dunno. But thanks for the reply's.

are you using house faucet water? if so is it a well or city water. well waters often have alot of mineral deposits in them. the only reason i ask is i also had a prob. similar to this in my bubbleponic sys. the only thing i could find wrong was a white buildup in the lines and where the water dripped. hope this helps

sorry, just noticed that you are growing in soil, disregard last statement as all i have ever used for my soils was house/well water. so i have no clue

So what is it? Calcium or Magnesium? Should i flush or introduce Epsom salts. Im lost.

Hank.

I went ahead and flushed this morning. Im just gonna keep a close eye on it all day. Thanks a bunch guys.

Hank:-p

I said to flush first, as overwatering will do less damage than nutrient burn.

if you see that tommorow your plants are looking worse and not better, it means its a defiency... dont wait, and rewater them with nutrients....

someone is right. that's a cal def all the way, slight mag issues.

cal def causes the rust spots ;)

i have/had a similar problem and i flushed with lower ph water(5.5-6), and added epson salt.
most of the dried leaves died off but now after 5 days the new stuffs looking pretty healthy again, even the most damaged plant made a quick recovery.
btw my ph is still a little high so im guessing that the epson salt may have worked.
just a little bit though i think 1 teaspoon/ gallon

That's what i wanted to hear guys. Thanks a bunch. I even got some epson salts today just incase the flush doesn't improve things. Thanks.

Hank.
