saw one the other day, sprayed with a pyrethrin spray jobber and removed, but there was another this morning. So I sprayed again, removed the dude and put him in a plastic tupperware container with a bunch of leaves for him to munch, I'm just wondering how dangerous(if at all) this species of caterpillar is to the plant we love to tend to, as well as knowing what kind of butterfly he'll become! Thanks:joint:

Those are the classic " leaf eater" caterpillar. When I was a kid we'd catch these in a jar and wait for them to turn into butterflys..but they never did becuz..well they died within the first hour or so in the box...but anyways.

To keep them off. Go to the buety supply get "Tea tree oil clipper cleaner" Fill the container 3 parts water and put the tea tre oil the rest to the top. Spray that on there every week or so, kills spider mites, but doesnt kill eggs..its mostly a repellent.

Where was the catipillar found? If your in the UK it looks like a Emperor moth, completly harmless, should turn into a butterfly that has a 'four eyes' pattern. If it wasnt found in UK i will need to know what continent and which area (north, east south or west) your grow is located in order to tell you the species :)
