What's the skinny on Vaporizors?

I've read about them, I know they heat up the weed just enough to release the THC without actually burning the leaf, but are they worth the cost? Do they work well, and is the high different? What is the taste like? I personally like the taste of a good smoke. Do they make you cough? How do you know when your hit is done if the leaf doesn't burn? I hear vapezilla is the best on the market, any truth to this?

Anyone with Vap experience please give me some more info before I invest in one of these bad boys...

Most people with tell you they are. As for the best, some say the volcano is the best. Thats what i have read anyway.

I don't even know anyone that has one. I bought a cheap on on ebay. With vaporizers you get what you pay for. Mine had a adjustable thermostat but it didn't have the dial calibrated with the degrees.

Ended up that when I tried it the smoke tasted like ass and I didn't feel a thing. So I wasted the weed and had the taste of ass in my mouth. Yuck! Found out later that the secret is in the correct temperature. High enough that the THC is released but the other stuff isn't ignited. So getting on that allows you to set it to a specific temp is a must.

Maybe someone has had a better experince. Like I said this was a cheapie off ebay. It was less then $50.

IMO, vaporizors are well worth it, you can conserve your stash more, so eventually they will pay for themselves. It take less bud to achieve the same high as with burning. Also, the health benefits cannot be denied. All the plant matter you inhale with burning is not good for your lungs, especially when you are a heavy toker like me. You def. get what you pay for w/them. There are a lot of shitty ones on the market. Variable temp control is a must, as different buds vaporize at different temps. The high is cleaner and more mellow, and IMO more enjoyable. I think you get a better more pure taste from them as well. It's weird though because it smells like burnt popcorn. They will make you cough if you inhale too much, but I think you can inhale more THC "per capita" then with burning. You will know when it's done because your bud will be all dried out and it will turn a greenish brown color. It's like the soul was sucked out of it. You will know when it's done. I've never used a Vapzilla, so I don't know but it looks nice, The Volcano is the mack daddy of all. Any of the ones that vaporize into a bag are really nice. If your not looking to spend as much, the vaporbrothers vaporizer is a nice piece. IMO, it's the best bang for your buck out there, only $160-$180. They are a good company as well. They repaired mine when I dropped it and broke the heating element for $24 bucks----Peace

P.S. Nothing will beat a fatty blunt of some dank though!

thanks for the input. I've decided not to buy one for the time being, because I just bought these clear papers...and they are awesome...they make the smoke taste so much better...

yeah you are right about the heat being important, but it is also the air flow.. it has to have air flow through the weed ya know. my ol' lady uses a volcano because she quit smoking cigg. and is self consious about her lungs. so i bought her one for her birthday. anyway they are nice to smoke out of but it takes a minute or two to get use to (they will choke you down if your greedy like me ) volcanos cost but are very good quality..

11 year old thread about vapes. cool. Volcanos were legit, still are.

I'm not a vape expert but it seems we haven't come very far in the vape market.

we have magic flight launch boxes, vapor blunts and those 510 cones for wax man......its getting better.

for weed...better? yes. ideal? no. portability is the big obstacle. I still prefer my dugout for portability but fuckin a dude I'm glad I have my nic vape.

fwiw the best weed "vape" I've ever had was homemade wax balls dropped in a 510 "cone"........totally combustible though And i could light my ciggys off it in the wind in a pinch.

i actually prefer that over glass dabs.

if Tyler is stalking you then I suggest you let nature take it's course.

Pax 3 is great and stealthy but im bias cause iv only owned one vape

I've been looking into vapes. Everything I read about "The Mighty" is great. It's a portable vape made by the maker of the best tabletop vape, the Volcano.

I shouldn't be replying to this but since i started the thread, fuck it. I've never had the opportinity to use volcano products. I've used v2 vapes. hit and miss for me. but mostly hit. And I hear they may go public in the stock exchange and are offering early investors for stoners both naive and bold...you never know. Easy way to get rich...get in before they ring the bell on wall street.
