Hi all,

Im just running my second grow and it seems to start getting some
yellow parts (growing Auto). i added some nuts lately cuz i thought
it will help but nothing changed, yesterday when i wanted to water my plant
i thought about checking the PH again in the water.
im using 5 liter watering can with PH water + Nuts, at first the PH was about 5.8-6
and now it seems like the PH rise to 8!!! its the first time im checking my water
twice and not only when i make the nuts&Ph water mix. do you know what is the reason
for the Ph to rise like that? and i guess i need to check my Ph every watering from now on right?

Thanks!;-)

the plant roots feeding

they alter the ph by removing what they need from the water..........that alters the balance of what is in there and then the ph changes from it

u will notice when u change the feed the water is stable for about 2 days then u notice a drop in it ............as for the spike upwards odds are the grow rocks or what ever u are using to block out the light was not fully treated with water before hand

this happend on my 2nd dwc the rocks were raising the ph lvl as they were exposed to the water

the best way i seen to fix this ....is to take the grow rocks/hydrostones/rockwool and soak them in treated water for 24 to 72 hours once the lvl in that ater holds at what your target is then they should be good to go ........rince it off with phed water put them in the basket and grow away

Thanks man, i think that`s a bit late for this solution.
do you think that checking the pH before every watering will be fine for now?
like i said, its Auto plant so i think she`s in her last month now, i dont want
to freak her out now with changing the soil (using coco).

I think everyone is assuming that you are talking about a res pH when you are in fact talking about the water in your can. Are you using tap water? If so the chlorine may be gassing off and causing a increase. This happens to me but not that drastic of a jump. Also you may have algae or some other biologic in your can. Just to be on the safe side clean it out real good before you refill it.
