I've been thinking about it. I live on the oregon coast and the wind is currently @ 80 mph. Fuck this shit im moving in 2 mths lol cant wait. Thats good advice ill be keeping that in mind

im hooking up a generator switch (i used to be an electrician) so I get to wire the breaker to my grow room into it so if we lose power this winter ill lose a few minutes of light and nothing else, now the generator may not be able to handle the HPS, but I could easily set up some CFLs laying around to use in this scenario. If you know anything about wiring this is probably the best for the plants, but don't get yourself electrocuted again I used to be an electrician less than a year ago so I am highly confident in my abilities if your not dont try.

Low wattage cfls or LEDs on a ups system. Or emergency lights.
Generator will solve all these problems, but you gotta maintain it. Ups systems are prettly hassle free until the battery life runs out.
Thats all you can really do in such a situation.

okay i had a transformore on a pole arch and all electricity out for hours i had a pole get blown over the lights dimming up and down 12 hours without electricity i had thunderstorms and many multiple electrical few hour outings by my electrical company... i would by a genie if i were you..

i had the power cut off on my water farm grow and i paniced!!! and prayed! lol 4 days!!!! i ended up going in there and blowing air into the air tube by mouth a few times everyday but then i thought thats not introducing o2 so i panicked some more! And since it was built into my closet with the screen fully attached to the plant so pretty much impossible to move and ZERO LIGHT it cause even more panic!!!! But i just made sure air never got stagnant and water stayed fresh and she survived without hardly any problem, only had minor droopage. So as long as its not like more than a week and like MOST people you can get a light source i think you'll be ok. Weed is a tough mofo.

photoperiod plants flower from the hours of darkness, not the hours of light.. so long as you don't interrupt you're dark periods with light, they can sit in the dark for a good few days and not cause a problem.

im asking this wouldn't a veg plant flower if left in dark? Second one on that doesn't completely dark for couple days affect the leaves ways to repond to change them white if left in dark??? I really need to know this one whatin one week i get a few power failure lasting a few hours each time has happened where i stay so likely to happen again winds???

they won't be happy that's for sure, but i don't see it really having a negative effect on them tbh.. you could try and move them to a window or w/e, but i think it would at most stunt growth for a few days once power comes back on..
