start off by starving your plants of water for about 2-3 days before harvest, that will help rid extra moisture and drying will be quicker, once your buds have dried and the stems snap but stay connected together they are ready,if u dry them to long they can dry out.Now that they are dry you want to put them into glass jars,or some kind of container thats safe, then leave them overnight then the next day leave them open until the evening then repeat until your buds no longer have any smell of chlorophyll, and smell nice sweet and cured right, plus they should taste good to:blsmoke: some people say you need to flush heavily for 1-2 weeks before harvest,it may or may not effect anything i yet to notice much of a difference as i flush my plants through out the grow,to help prevent nutrient lockup and cause problems.I normally stop feeding nutes 2 weeks before harvest and water with plain water but i don't drown them either,i just water them the same as always.

if you know what strain your growing then you can find out how long the flowering cycle takes (its always labeld when you buy seeds). If you dont know what strain ur growing then its a guessing game

whats the difference in water curing, and air drying? and also if u look at the tricomes kidsingle you can see the 3 stages of them, from clear to cloudy to amber, this is when they are done. u have to use a mag glass to see it tho

Thanks for the replies! And the seeds I have are from some random bags of haze (not professionally purchased). I hear people on here saying it take about 10 weeks

Here's the drying and cure method i'm going w/ this time around

dry until snap- 5-7 days
place in brown paper bag to dry more, usually around 4-6 days
jar- for a few weeks.

normally when growth has slowed, and the buds start to swell, and seem to be dying rather then growing, this is usually the signs of it finishing off its life cycle

You should flush your plant through out the grow, flushing 2 weeks before harvest is not really necessary,at least in soil i have yet to see to much of a difference, but hydro probably is a different story.:blsmoke:
