I have been taking clones from 2 Strawberry Cough mothers I have every 2 weeks for the past 2 months to get my perpetual grow going.
The problems I encountered were growing on the clones fast enough and of course space.
I now use a home made bubbler sitting in a heated propagator with vents open for the first week. Most have roots by that time (Clonex is the business) Then it is into 2 larger 12 pot home made bubblers, without the heated propagator for a week to get those roots really bursting out.
I then move them into 4" rockwool cubes with some clay pellets filling in the pre made holes. I find this much faster than using 1" rockwool cubes and transplanting to 4". They are in these with drippers for around 2 weeks.
After the roots are bursting through the 4" cubes, they go into their final home.
So, if you add that lot up, at any one time, I have 12 fresh cuttings, a week or less old, 12 between 1 and 3 weeks old and 12 in 4" cubes, thats 36 cuttings and a shit load of space.
4 flowering stages giving me a harvest every 2 weeks of 8 plants on an 8 week flowering cycle thats 32 plants flowering.
So, its 74 plants in total with 2 mothers, Very dodgy territory if caught!!!
Now, the good news is they usually have around 30% amber trichs by 51 days.
I can recommend Strawberry Cough as it is quite a hardy plant, resiliant, tough and a real nice smoke. Yield is average I suppose, not as much as Big Bud but a much nicer smoke and far easier to clone. I have done the same with Blue Cheese and Wonder Woman and had good results.
The secret is finding a plant you find difficult to kill, an easy to maintain hydro system and planning, planning and planning!
Good luck!
