whats a good soil to use

hey everyone i just got some miracle gro soil to grow in wondering if that is a good idea? anything i should add to it?

What type of miracle grow did you get? MG is not the first choice of most people, but there are lots of people who have grown some great bud with it.

thanks from reading this it doesnt seem the right soil to use for a beginner and thats what i am got any suggestions for other soil options?

Fox Farm seems to be most popular around here. I'm giving promix a try right now. I would suggest not to get anything with time release nutrients. What kinds of soil can you find locally?

If you do decide to stick w/ the MG, I wouldn't add anything but water for the first month or two. I have one plant in MG moisture control that has been giving me lots of trouble, ever since I fed it additional nutes. I'm not blaming the MG, it was definitely operator error in this case.
