whats a good 1000 w ballast not digital

i have been having problems with them. htg just replaced my bulb & ballast and it was fine for a few days but now the light is not near as bright as it was. i had the same prob last grow. and i here a lot of people are having the same problem

that dissappoints me i wanted a digi 600 from them. i have heard a good bit of complaints so i think im gunna end up waiting until they start making ANSI ones
 
Im running lumitecks now but sunsystem has them all beat.They dont blow bulbs and the ballast run for years without the fear of fire or breakdown.Ive got two sun systems that are almost ten years old and work fine.You can have them reworked real cheap, after 10 years the capacitater goes bad. ...peace

how much more power do they use then the dig & and how much hotter are they
 
yes and to control room temps in summer i run my 2 1000 watts at 75% and in fall n winter i am runnin at 100%
 
those old school loud and heavy magnetic ballast last fucking forever man!!! they also put out some heat to
 
lol true. but you have to get a new digi ballast like every 3-4 years. plus rep to you anyways.
 
thanks bro... every 4 yrs for a new ballast is ok wit me six hundered dollars for two ballasts every four years while we make that back off two plants.. its a good overhead to have..
 
im on my 2nd grow & have gone through 2 1000w green house ballast and i think i need to replace it again the new one has only been running for 2 wks and the light is a lot more dim than it was to start with

it cost $263.95 i got it from high tech garden the bulb is only 2wks old. i have been told that the bulbs are not made to run off of a dig ballast . is this true? i here a lot of people are having probs. with bulbs on dig ballast
