What would you like to see more or less of in the Oregon section?

Hey everyone. I wanted to open up a thread for people to post what they think is important in RIU. I would like to hear your ideas on how to handle the Oregon section, so that I can represent the largest group of people here on RIU for the Oregon section.

So far, I have heard that people really want the infighting to stop, and if anyone has any awesome ideas on HOW to go about that, let me know. Right now, I am just shutting down any thread that starts off argumentative or insulting. I am also watching the threads to make sure they stay on point. When someone creates a thread, they get all the updates to their thread, so we should all respect that, and try to stay on point......I understand there will be times when there are exceptions, but my expectation of all of us is to keep those side conversations to a medium, unless they are directly related to the subject matter.

I feel my job here is to stop the infighting as much as i can, so as to create a place where people can post and share without worry of major issues.

I also feel my job is make sure things stay on point.

I am going to go about posting like normal as an RIU member, but keeping an eye to help out.

How do you think I should handle things......and Mcpurple and mygirls, do not make this personal. How can we make the Oregon section more inviting, because we have lost some folks, for example, Luther, that are very witty, and who bring a very different and valued perspective on MMJ. There are many other folks that have left, and it has made this a graveyard of infighting and inactivity otherwise.

I have not gotten very many serious responses so far, so just let me know how and what I can do to make this section work a little better.

I wrote a book up there, so use that as your palate....please let me know what you think of my outlook, and whether you agree with how I might start to help around here.

don't worry about what you can do. just let the section be. he who governs least, governs best.

hopefully mygirls holds to his promise to keep the fuck out, and jeffbelize/topshelf will eventually earn himself a ban or enough infractions for a ban. i like the guy, but others don't, and seem to not like his presence.

Well, I booked out of here because of all the inane and counterproductive little girl bickering. So I'd like to see and end to that crap. Every time I look at this forum it's just a couple twats calling each other names. It's seriously ridiculous.

I like to share information and learn more about our craft. That is what should be going on here. I'll give it another shot but if it degrades into petty bickering again then I'm out (not that anyone really cares).

I do care, man. I do not want positive, valuable members leaving the Oregon section. I appreciate the thought you put into this, and this is exactly the feedback I am looking for! Good work, and post away, man. I want to see what the fruit bat is up to!

I will tell you what I want to see.....MORE PICS! I am a bud porn hound, and I know we grow more dank than what is shown so far! I think people have been worried about getting ripped to shreds, so I am hoping for more pics, and more compassion about how we go about speaking to each other and encouraging each other.

For instance, if someone posted a pic of a bud that was not the nicest looking.....as long as they were not being a jerk, couldn't we find a nice thing to say or two....or a way to help them improve without insulting them?

I'm with fruitbat, more herb growing tips and tactics,strain discussion,room designs,and less shit talk. I like the site and even the colorful folks who make me laugh with there wit but hate the trash talk. Haz I use my mobile for web and the site doesn't allow me to upload images to threads or even my profile for that matter. Would love to posts up some nug porn and return to the Oregon forums. Congratulations to the new mods BTW

Cool man. I'll start a new little thread and post my latest project/s. I actually had a miserable summer grow because of some crappy soil I used (my fault). Now I'm back on track and working with some kick ass genetics.

Another great post, guys! I am hoping you will all help in getting more threads up, adding to the atmosphere here! We want this forum to be one where we can ask questions and not feel like we will get put down.

here is some pics of my last grow i did. i grew shishkaberry.

here a bunch of pics. i harvested them early cuz my grower needed the card to get started legally.
also this strain would make a great sog strain as well. i took a cut about 2 weeks into flower and the cut was about 2 inches, i rooted it in 12/12 and kept it flowering, it only grew to about 5 inches or so but if sog done right it would work great

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some of that there shiskaberry. It looks yummy! Is it still around, from reading some of your posts, It appears to be a hard plant to get a hold of.

i got them as a clone from a former RIU user and OGF member, it was the genesis cut that has been in oregon for awhile now, i have not been able to find seeds of this strain except on one web site that does not look very trust worthy. i think breeder said he had clones but i might be wrong.
it is a great strain to grow. when i grow i will always want at least one shishkaberry plant with me.

if you click onthe link it will tkae you to a page of strains, scroll down to the shishkaberry and click them, it will tell you the lineage of genes and it says steve of spice of life has it but last time i checked they did not.

also the site is great bookmark to have.

and also i would maybe like to see some tutorials for new growers to show them how to get setup and growing dank the 1st time

Congrats moderator haz, whats wanted, hmmmm more humor, more info for us newbies or what is a new grower called. When i started playing poker i was a fish so what is it for a new grower. All I want is for us "growers" to share our knowledge, spread our ideas and produce the best bud ever. I'm not into drama ( my x would tell you different) and I now have the chance to be the old mother earth hippie that was always nested deep in my soul. Thats why I moved to Oregon and I'm dad gum glad.
