What would this do?

What would my plants do If I added some Ultraviolet lights inside the grow room?

They are still vegetating right now, getting about 1ft+ now, Real bushy like,
Nice Foliage, etc. Bottom 2 sets of branches trimmed on each (Fell off itself/Trim)

Anyway... Would this do anything to them?
What would the effects of this be? Possible node developement increase? Mutation?

I have no idea... This is just a stoned idea... Lol  :blsmoke:

UV light could lead to mutation as it can cause malignant with us people, UV rays have to power to damage DNA over long exposure time.

so say it helps with black/fruit flies, but that verify really;)

it won't help much with photosynthesis for sure since the UV spec is only lightly touched by the photosynthesis spec.

What about a black light? I just thought of it while I was reading this... i have one in my grow room already, but hardly ever turn it on... would it harm my babies at all?

probably not, but it will probably use them nothing too;) the only one going happy on his will be the power provider of you:D

LoL, I don't use it anyway... Im going to put in my daughter's room and get those glow in the dark stars to put on the celing...

you now that this might get you to snoop after her later if she is old enough to hide her boyfriend from you;) *damn you dad, why do switch always the black light on if you come by my room?!* ...i guess you have seen CSI NV a few times or;)

hehehe... CSI is one of my favorite shows... And yes, thats the whole reason for owning a shotgun. She's only 6 now, but in a few years Im going to have hell to deal with... Or rather her boyfriends will... :D

don't shot him right away, they come handy around the house from time to time;):D *you can sit with her on the deck as soon as you done with the lawn son, and stay in the firing line!:D*

don't be too tough on them, we been all that age;)

Ahh I won't kill em, just mame em a little... lol And he ain't touching my riding lawn mower, thats my job... Gotta have something fun to do when im drinkin a beer and blazed right?

more in depth on uv....research made by Pate and Lydon in the early/mid 80's indicated that THC could work as a defense mechanism against UV-B in Cannabis, and that increase in UV-B radiation therfore increased the THC production. Their experiments demonstrate that under conditions of high UV-B exposure, drug-type Cannabis produces significantly greater quantities of THC. They have also demonstrated the chemical lability of CBD upon exposure to UV-B (Lydon and Teramura 1987), in contrast to the stability of THC and CBC. However, studies by Brenneisen (1984) have shown only a minor difference in UV-B absorption between THC and CBD, and the absorptive properties of CBC proved considerably greater than either.

Research made on use of artificial UV-B on indoor grown Cannabis has so far failed to prove any increase in THC levels. We still don't know exactly how the relation between UV-B and THC production in Cannabis works.

get a cheap old, rusted in, pushing one from a garage sale for a buck for him, he will be so done by the time finished your yard he won't be able to touch your daughter anymore:D and you can still chase him around riding on you mower;) how sounds that with a cool beer in your hand?

I Just wanted to know if the black lights/ UV lights would do anything to the plant genetically or growth wise.
