Not every day, but treat it like a regular plant, and it'll grow. Like a regular plant. And worse, it's the ones that you ignore that do the best.

I let the top half inch to inch of soil dry out to the touch between waterings.

usually i water every 2nd day with the temp at 76F

i water mine every other day... i used to everyday in the summer but its got good drainege

let the soil dry like you are doing, dont water, keep watching the plant and when you notice it starting to droop, water it then. You wont go wrong and drown it, What kind of soil you growin in?

you dont get granny smith apples from a crabapple plant. Same if you wanted a plant with good "genes" you would have a good healthy plant if you just watered it normally. But if you want the BOMB weed, then feed them nutes
