what will happen to these leaves

lets just say some one decided to cut part of a leaf on a plant. will that make that leaf dry out and die or will it be ok. no one can ask y. just answer the question. thanks

PS the lead was cut 1/4 of the way

The leaf should grow fine, take a clone for example i cut all the leaf tips off to help with transpiration, clones always grow beautifully. Matter of fact i can still see those clipped leaves and my ladies are half way through flower with a long veg time.

Greetings from Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico.
No problemo! The cut leaf will stay alive until it's time to die a natural death. In fact- I always cut the leaves on my clones back to 3/8 to 1/2 inch until the roots develope. Works great.
