My scale needs to be recalibrated. Problem is I need a 200 gram wieght. The store near my house doesn't have them (They should. They sold me the damn scale) and ordering online is out of the question. Anyone know anything that weighs exactly 200 grams?

On aside note, I tried measuring it out with 1 cup of sugar (Supposedly right around 198-200 grams and I got it to where it comes within .2 grams accuracy per gram. (Meaning when I put something on that wieghs 1 gram it reads 1.2. When I pet something on that is 5 grams it reads 6 grams. And it won't let me calibrate it again. I've tried adding sugar, and subtracting suggar, but it always stays right around .2 off per gram. Any ideas?

You could go to a fishing supplies store and see if they have any of those lead weights that weigh 200 g. You might need to buy a couple but they are cheap.
Oh and remember not to put the lead directly on the scale. lead=cancer

i hate bar scales an old fashioned scales. and digis are really friggin expensive

i had to use a fingerscale for the longest time, it was such a hassle. weigh the bag. weight the bud in the bag. subtact the wieght of the bag from the total and add 1, because the thing was off by 1 gram

40 nickles?
Thanks! I may have to try that. I've tried 80 pennies, but for some reason that didn't work. A penny is supposed to wiegh 2.5, but after I weigh out exactly 80 pennies it shows as 200 grams but if I only put one on there it says something like 3.4 grams. I hope it's not my scale.....

And it is a digi, kaleo. I paid $30 for it.

according to Yeoman's guide to US coins 2008 edition a penny weighs 2.5 grams. i checked on mine with 4 different pennies and they all weighed 2.5 exactly. so 80 pennies weigh 200g's.

it could be the scale man, i have all sorts of problems with mine(got it for free from a friend who moved so i cant really complain). i have to switch the batteries around and pray it will turn on, and if it dose it stays on for all of 45 seconds. if it dosnt it needs new aaas, hen i was sellin a few months back i spent all my profit on cigarettes and aaa batteries. weighing a bag is such a hassle for me

IDK if it's my pennies or what. Alot of them have that blue shit on them from that grade school experiment where you conduct electricy through the penny in water. Think that would be fucking me up?

This is starting to fuckin irritate me.

The scale is no more then a month old.

Edit: It's supposed to be a 250g scale, but all of a sudden, once it reaches 200 it wont count up any higher.
