What watt light is best?

What watt light is best for the setup I'm building? The grow area is 51"H x 48"W x 24"D. I'm thinking 400 watts but a salesperson at the hydro store saying i should go with a 600watt. I asked him if i would be able to manage the heat the 600 gives off and he said with ease just buy a 6" inline fan and air cooled reflective hood and you'll be set but I'm also on a tight budget right now and wouldn't be able to purchase all the items right away. I don't know why but I'm having a hard time believing him. It would be great if the kind people of the RIU community could help me. Than you in advance.

If you can afford to wait, get the 600 and the extras. If not get the 400.

You don't think will have problems managing heat?

Not if you hold off until you can afford the fan and cooltube.

A 400 will be fine in that space. I'd go with that for now if you are on a budget. After your first harvest, the money you save on weed can then go to fund any upgrades to your setup that you feel are necessary.

Thank you for your input that sounds very logical. What cfm fan do you guys think would be able to manage the heat from the light and what kind would be best (ie: blower, inline fan). Thank you
