What was the highest temp in which you have "succesfully" finished a grow?
I realise that "higher" is different from "optimal" ,and yield is somehow affected......but ,what was your highest temp without completely killing the plant indoors?
I live in a super hot and humid area, probably the hottest area in the states. I run a tent with a 400watt MH/HPS and in the summer months my high temps are almost always around 85-88. Even with AC it is still hot in there. I have had some issues but after trying many strains I have found a few that work well in heat. I find that Bella Donna from Paradise Seeds does well with the heat and Royal Moby from Royal Queen is a huge producer and takes the heat just fine. Good air circulation is a must when its hot, it helps keep the buds from rotting and molding.
Ive had my temps get up to around 85 for the entire flowering period in the summer and ive found some strains aren't bothered too much by it and other strains take a beating in the high temps.
In veg however ive gotten extremely high temps like 95-100 and ive had some individual clones do better than others. It seems to me that real high temps in veg exacerbate pre existing problems and are more dangerous with plants that are not used to above optimal temps.
I have had 109 before. My mini sit is suppose to have a auto restart feature to kick a back on. well it does not work or etc. So I have gone to my rented property and have found 109 degrees a few times as the power flickers the ac cuts off. Thanks to @vostok I ordered my temp switch deal so now once my room hits 95 the lights shut off and it works amazing and super cheao
