so yea I'm going to be picking up some 2700k cfl's this week so I'll be ready for the flowering stage, I just don't know what wattage they should
be.

thanks for the answers dudes

if using cfls dont just use all 2700k. throw in a 3500k or two, depending on how many lights u run....but the higher wattage u can get, the better for ur plant.

mixed spectrums a good idea, however 3500k is a bad idea, its pretty close to the green spectrum, plants cant absorb green spectrum light(thats why they look green to us)go with 1 6500k bulb for every 2 2700k bulbs . how many watts of cfls and how many to use depends so much on how many plants and how big of an area to even give you a guess.

hahaha my bad darkdestruction. i did mean 6500k. i was like "wait is it 6500 or 3500?' my bad :dunce:
for a 1 foot plant that sounds good. the more light the better

1 ft when done or 1 ft when put into flower from veg? i'd get some y-splitters and get more lower wattage cfls, i'd get a 4 pack(at least, more is always better as long as you can control the heat) of 26w 2700k(about, it doesnt have to be 26w, a 23w or 32w pack will do fine if you cant find any, its just they are the most effecient usually in their watt to lumen ratio) and 2 blue spectrum 6500k 26w (around 26w, like i said b4, lol) how big is your grow area?
