Fun topic for the day, whats the most creative or most useful piece of equipment you've made on your own to mimick something else, or to have a tool for which they dont make yet? For instance. I made a gravity drip for a slow feed on plants out of a 5 gallon bucket, some brass fittings, super glue and some 1/4 inch hose. I have made a cloner from a 5 gal bucket and a pump. (First run and its in BEAST mode.) What kind of cool/fun stuff have you made?

I made a dry tent as I had one plant that was ready and needed some where to dry it.......this tent was sold as a portable cupboard for camping.
I bought it dirt cheap ($10) and used the wire rack from an old push cart....then added a bathroom fan on top, and covered up for darkness
It did the trick, if anything it was too much air circulation, as the plant dried in 4 days, which was too quick

Kitchen sink micro grow. The light frame is an old refrigerator shelf. The cabinet was modified with a 2 x 4 frame to raise the sink. Also made cut outs to countersink the Hydro reservoirs.

Sure thing. Each bulb is adjustable and the light fixtures are held with zip ties and will slide a bit for extra versatility.

CFL HOOD FIXTURE :
Well , i built my ghetto CFL IN DA HOOD fixture with 12 Cfl ( mixed spectrum ).
6 ( 5000k Eco Smart cfl ) - 6 ( 2700k Warm ) .....
Can run ALL ONE SPECTRUM ( 2700k only or 5000k/6400k )
I can also add 4 UVB reptile bulbs ( mid section ) thru swap.
Bulbs are Sourced from Home Depot and 99¢ store .
Surprisingly i find these as cheap as 59¢ !!!!!!!!!
The hood was fabbed from a heater vent ( 10" diameter and 36" long ) from Home Depot , cut down middle to split it. Then holes were drilled at corners for threaded rod and bolts.
Chains were added and held on rod with bolts / washers.
Light sockets have y-sockets or 3 way sockets for 3 bulbs per socket.
It's pretty light compared to other lights and has grown me respectable plants for my med needs.
I am currently growing with it and mostly grow seed to early veg before pulling plants for the other tents.

I converted a top/bottom fridge freezer into a controlled drying space.
I smashed through the middle dividing section, stripped out the defrost timer, heater, lights and thermostat and added to the circuit my own thermostatic controller (basic STC-1000) and a mini dehu on a humidistat controller. I just dial in the settings I want and the original compressor / evap coils do the rest.
I added thin metal bars across the inside for hanging branches and the door seals are ideal for maintaining interior conditions even though it sits out on my patio. Couple of latch locks on the doors stops prying eyes.
The dehu chugs pretty hard if I put lots of fresh plants in there so I hang dark in the grow room for 2 days to reduce by 50% before moving to my DIY chamber, and the rest is a breeze. It barely flutters from 65F + RH55%.
The fully adjustable thermostat means it can still be used as a fridge / cheese cave / charcuterie / kegerator with just a press of the button.

Turkey Roaster is cheap and has great sides, I seen a couple with a 4"pc fan in the top
to disperse any accumulated heat
