well since your using rockwool, you need to water more often, and be feeding them every time you water.transplant them into pots that aren't clear, you don't want light getting to the roots. you need either 1, a hydro setup or 2, some soil........there is plenty of info on both in the FAQ section. check it out.

you have plenty of room, so don't worry about that.

Ya the I grow chronic dude has like 8 or 9 videos on youtube he goes over everything from how to build a grow room, how to build a hydro system and every possible piece you would need for it. He also has a real good segment on how to clone and predetermine the sex of the plant by taking a clone and placing it in the flowering room to force it to flower to see what the plant will grow up to be. check it out!

hes a freaken nut job but he knows what hes doing...he def could get more than a qp if he wanted to out of that grow space.

thanx for the help guys so i def need a hydroponic set up your saying or can i carry on way i am cheers

like I said, set up a hydro setup.... or put those babies into some soil, the choice is still yours. but either way, you need to do it today.

no actually despite all the rage over hydro systems soil does a great job in that you barely have to add anything to it if its your first time growing. Just plant the thing and feed it and be on your way. Soil has its benifits for that reason and its great in that it def makes the bud taste better. Not so much better as to blow your mind but i feel like you can def. taste a difference between hydro and soil. its more earthy natural tasting.

have you smoked 2 clones (same strain) grown in the same environment, but one soil, and one hydro?????????

if not then it's pretty hard and judgmental for you to say that.

i hear where your coming from, but if thought through it makes sense think of all the nutes the thing is sucking up from the soil that is natural. all the nutes from a hydro system are not. they are chemicals. soil just has a simplicity factor that hydro doesnt, and since its his first time growing soil would be the easiest way to go.

ok people so the soil sounds the best option now my questions are

do i put the rock well in the soil or do i remove the plant to put in the soil???

is it better to make my own soil or buy it???

and what soil is the best to use???

also you say i need to do it taday!!!! quickest i can sort this is over the next few days will this be ok ???

thank you simon

buy soil, but you'll have to mix it.........plant the rockwool straight into the soil. don't know what soil is best, I'm a hydro guy (easier for me, i kill anything in soil, don't know how). and yeah.... you can do it over the next few days, I was more or less stating the urgency you should have......

did you know you can buy organic nutes for hydro?????????

I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm sorry, just trying to understand why you think soil is so much better even though it's a shit load messier. I went straight to hydro, never tried soil since I can't even keep other plants alive in soil, unless it's outside planted in the ground, and even then all i can do is water them........to me, hydro is much cleaner

the soil im using and its been great is the Miracle grow moisture control its great my plant looks healthy and huge its only 17 days old and its towering over 6 inches . which brings me to a quick question any idea why the hell its so damn big and why it is just starting to grow fan leaves i seriously am baffled.
,

i agree that hydro is an easy set up and eventually should be incorporated into any mans grow room. i was just merely saying for a first time testing the waters the money is just to much for just dicking around for the first time.

i know what you mean, i went a bit overboard..... i spent probably about $1200 on my setup, I built the hole thing. and now, i have to rework the hole fucking thing cause I didn't plan nearly as well as I should have...... i can't tell people enough that planning correctly will be the best thing you can do to make the grow successful.

cant stress that enough. im on my first grow. all my buddies have done and im just getting around to it. but watching them fail because they suck and dont do any research i have a legit grow room that seriously cost me next to nothing. and i have what i hope is a healthy plant how ever it is making woried the fucker is sooo big. and no leaves really

what do you mean mix the soul what do i need to mix the soil with??

i proberly have this wrong but i was thinking that i just bought some soil with a ph of about 6 and just plant the rockwool in it?

also is it possible to do a hydro set up with no water pump cheers

let me know

no that is the heart and soul unfortunately however they are pretty cheap all you need is a small fountain pump they sell and your hardware store or local garden shop. thats the driving force behind it all. a must have for a hydro set up
