Depends on what type of intensity you're measuring.

Lumens are the unit of measure for how intense something is to humans. They use Lux meters, or light meters.

PAR meters measure light intensity for plants. Apogee makes some, so do others. You can also get a really, really, expensive one that will tell you the intensity of each wavelength of light.
