What temperature should my heat mat be on for germinating seeds

I have burnt my root tips though because the cube got too dry, so the heat mat kept running because the probe wasn't sensing the heat. Only thing to watch out for

Keep the propagator lid on, keeps moisture inside although you should be spraying once a day maybe 2 days, I also soak up any left over before i respray. Also dont use cold water make sure it is around a similar temp.

I just keep my baby plants in the basement, sitting on a shelf in 70ish room temp. Usually under a cheap cfl bulb. I wasn’t a fan of using heat mats

Hi there welcome to the forum, put something to create a gap between between the matt and the pot otherwise the soil/coco/cubes gets to hot,
I use a piece of bubble wrap.

I would only use the mat until the seeds have sprouted, I wouldn't even consider spraying them that's for clones ime.
