What tds readings is everyone using?

I just wanted to see what conversion factor everyone is using. I have a bluelabs truncheon that reads both .500 & .700. I just wanted to see which one is more commonly used and why.

I mixed my hydro nutrient solution yesterday and my final tds for .500 was in between 300 & 400 ppm and the .700 was like 100-150 higher than the other. Any comments or clarification. My original ppm of water was in between 100-200 ppm on .500 before i added nutes to my 2 week old seedlings.

I dont know. I use PPM, which i believe is the .5 of ec ? cant remember, dont really care. i jus use it as a reference number anyways. for me regular is 400-500 ppm, if i want a higher dosage i bump it up to like 700-800. After mixing up the jugs for as long as i have been. I dont even need to bust out the meter anymore. I might once in a while just out of curiosity. same goes for my Ph pen. i think i just use them to make sure they still work.

I think most so called "Pro" growers prefer ec over .5/.7
 
If everyone communicated in EC we no one would ever be confused by this again. PPM is the result of multiplying EC by .5,.7 etc.
 
I am using hydro. Hydroton is medium. I mean it is two readings. Which one do you use conversion factor .5 or .7. You could use both anytime you take a reading of your nutrient solution.
