what strain is this??

Can someone help me out to identify this strain? is it suitable for indoor grow? It looks like a sativa strain.. My friend gave it to me when it was 2 weeks old. I think this seed came from Thailand(maybe). Anyone knows what is the strain?? I hope someone can help me out. I am newbie. Peace from Asia

it's cannabis, sorry to be an ass, but it's impossible to tell a strain simply by looking at a pix of a growing plant.. there are thousands of different strains ou there, and they mostly all look a like, other then maybe one looking a bit more sativa or one more indica, it's impossible to know a strain by looks alone, sorry..
 
looking at the pix though, i'd say it's a pretty heavy sativa leaning plant, long, thin bladed leaves is a dead give away of a saty..
 
Thanks man .. I think it has a strong sativa gen. I dont know if its male or female either.. It hard to identify.. I'm gonna post more pic update of this plant soon.. Maybe it will show more sign.
 
still looks a bit young to be sexed yet m8, but damn, it does look nice now i'm looking at it, lol, love me a nice saty..

i didn't even look at the pix when i made my first post, then i said, wth, i'll give it a look anyhoo, and before i clicked on it to make it bigger, it hardly even looked like cannabis those leaves are so thin, lol... my mouth started to water a bit when i did open it though.. :D:D
 
Since the leaves are so thin i'm afraid that plant is actualy ruderalis :( . hmmm ..nevermind.. I'll just keep it growing..
 
That looks like a thai sativa to me. I like it :) ruderalis have leaves similar to an indica but not quite as fat. This one is definitely a sativa. Expect a long flowering time too :)
 
thanks man.. i think its from thai also.. maybe mango? correct me if i'm wrong. how long does it takes to enter the flowering stage? sorry for the noob question man.. i am just started to be an indoor grower.

it's not bushy bcuz it's mostly sativa, which tend to be tallter, thinner, and indicas tend to be shorter, and bushier...
usually, i like to wait for the plant to be sexually mature before i start to flower it, which means it will show preflowers, or alternating nodes, or both.. the only reason i suggested early flowering is if it's as heavy sativa as it looks, it's going to stretch a shit ton once it goes into flowering, and i mean, maybe 4x;s as tall as it is now, if not more..
you can flower it w/e you want, all you have to do is switch the lighting to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness.. it's up to you when you want to flower, but you have to take into account how big it's going to get when it flowers, and how big of a space you have to flower it in..
 
thanks again man.. i will take a note of that.. i will follow like what u said. i think i can reduce the height of the plant by adjusting the light setup i guess.. my indoor setup is ghetto.
 
AsianGrower, have you gotten to smoke this strain before? it looks like it will be some nice sativa "up" smoke!! you should definitely listen to racerboy71, he knows his stuff! i agree with him, since it is leaning so heavily toward sativa, i'd switch it to 12/12 now too! for example, breeder for silver haze #9 recommends to put into 12/12 very soon after germination--at 10cm. she finally stopped growing at just over 4 1/2 feet. :-) so if you've got the vertical room, veg for a while, if not--get her in to flower asap! good vibes toward your grow!

you can always do some lst on her too asian, which is pretty much light bondage for plants, to keep them shorter.. if you go to youtube and put in lst, there's tons of videos over there that show you how to do it to get an idea of what i am talking about.. :D

hey man..i did :).i want to switch to 12/12 but i can see there are still tiny leaves that wanted to grow.. and my plant still short and skinny lol.. if i switch to 12/12 now are they any negative effect to those tiny leaves?
