What Sorted of Sorcery is This ?

image.jpg Do my
eyes deceive me or does Cannablle have two side shoots growing beside eachother, not opposed or alternating ? It's too far from the one below it to be a preflower, isn't it ? As I understand it. the preflower grows in the axillary angle between the stem and the shoot (I think).

She's throwing out weird stem configurations all over the place and it's making this newbie very nervous.

Does This Strain Usually Have a Purple/Red Stem?

What Lighting are You Using?

I Have Seen It Before But Only Through Stress and the Odd Runt Genetic Here and There.

Is That Snap/Break/Super Crop About 1inch Below Your ---- Green Line.
Could Be a Direct Result of That... ??

I'm not sure if this strain typically has purple or red stems. She's a Cannatonic from the Cali Club.

If she's bred for Cali weather, could the purple stems be related to nighttime cold stress (I'm in BC, Canada) ?

The stem bulge was a break. I wrapped it with green tape and proped it up at the break with small plastic vial. It healed well and the stem is overall quite healthy (I think).

The lighting in the picture is bad (newb mistake, I apologize). I'm running 1 T5HO 18 inch and one T5HO bulb in a 78 L Rubbermaid. Inside is painted flat white and lined with reflective panels. 2 passive intake and 1 exhaust (6 inch). Also 1 overhead reflector.

She came to me in a 20 L (est) grow bag which was too large for my space. I also worried it would make watering a challenge. Why ? Because I'm new, over attentive, and prone to over watering. So I transplanted her into a smaller container.

Stem break ? Transplant or cold stress ? Funky genetics ?
I'll try taking some more pics. Thanks for the input.

image.jpg 1 -Stem where break occurred. Still taped at base for added support.

2- Lateral branch - new growth visible.

3 - Top view of plant.

She seems to have 3 stems. All have two nodes. Three zones of growth - 2 lateral (those stems are leggy and nodes farther spaced). The centre is quite bushy, nodes very close.

Weird genetics ? Stress ? Over anxious, over attentive newb ?

And then there's this little gem . The centre leaf split into three smaller ones and has remained healthy (but a bit stunted). The two other leaves are fine. She came with this one.image.jpg

Your plant is very stressed. two weeks, normal water, normal nutes. let the soil look dry before you water. the top 10mm should be dusty imho.

those leafs patterns are a direct result of stress.
