What soil/nutes should i use

I am a new grower and have been grwoing in Miracle Grow potting soil and i have come to realize this is not the best. i have had a problem with when to fertilize and the MG releasing. Anyways just curious what people recomend as far as soil and nutes. I will be driving to a hydro shop today and want to be prepared.

any help would be appreciated

i'd suggest something simple to start with - foxfarm soil, perlite, and botanicare pure blend pro grow (for veg) and bloom (for flowering)

I use a good sterilized soil, perlite, worm castings and some good pre-mix soil. Mix it all together and let er sit for a few days. I use Canna Nutrients cuz I have had great results with them. As with most nutrients I don't mix them as strong as the label says to, I tend to water it down a bit and water it down some more again.

SOIL: if you want a great, proven soilless mix then go with sunshine #4, its been proven over and over again, and its GREAT for marijuana......its totaly sterile, 100% organic AND its CHEAP!! its like $25 CAD / 20 gallon bag.

Formulated with Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, coarse grade perlite, gypsum, Dolomitic lime, and our long-lasting wetting agent.

Fertalizer: Fox Farm! Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.

its a great, organic nutrient regime and its been proven multiple times on this website alone, AND on top of all this, its PERFECT for newbie growers because its simple, there is no mixing involved, just follow the instructions to a happy harvest! oh yea, and this stuff is cheap to..... $50 CAD for the "trio soil formula".


i have seen first time growers put out NICE crops using this, getting 2 OZ's+ per plant, with NO time in veg......
