I'm going to the store tomorrow to buy some peat moss and per lite for my soil..I was wondering if you well educated growers can tell me what else I should add to my soil? The soil I am using is Scotts Premium Potting Soil...0.07 Nitrogen 0.01 Phosphate and 0.03 Soluble Potash (idk it was on the bag lol) it says that it will feed plants for up to 4 months..Thanks in advance

Actually I just found a hydro shop that sells it..but I'm a little iffy to go there lol...do cops usually watch those places?

You can pick up one of those bags of Sta-Green soil in the yellow bag at Lowes. Mix it 4 to 1 with white coarse perlite. That has never failed me.

Espoma organic garden lime works to keep pH up when you start the nutrients.

Cops have way more important things to do than scope out hydroponic stores to maybe catch someone growing weed, maybe catch someone growing tomatoes.

Unless you live in some tiny ass town, in which case I doubt you have a hydro store.

Ok so I think I'm gonna get the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil...and prolly some nutes while I'm there..should I get some perlite to mix in with it?

LOL ok...no I don't live in a small town..Its gonna feel weird walking in there with my shoulder long hair lol..I'm a 21 year old dude they know I'm not growing tomatoes. hehe :weed:

I have long hair and am around your age. They know exactly what you're growing, but when I went, the guy was so helpful. He actually seemed to want to help me out, gave me some free magazines and recommended the best products for my needs. I wish everyone was so knowledgeable about their jobs.

Just don't go in seeming like a little immature jit, and they will treat you with an equal amount of respect and privacy.

Don't sweat it man i thought the same thing...then I went in and knew immediately I was surrounded by nothing but bud growers and it was cool. Everyone there is in your shoes. Support local!

The guy behind the counter really helped me out on all aspects of my grow.

just don't be a tool and say "hey what kind of marijuana should I grow" and you're set.

Cool..so how do you normally mix the soil? Should I add some perlite? Also how often do you use nutes during vegging?
