WHAT?!!! Limbaugh and Beck get paid to say nice things about the Tea Party?!

you seem to be glossing over the fact that Halliburton/KBR was one of only 3 companies on earth with the ability to fill the contract, the other two being Schlumberger of Germany, and a French company who's name i can never remember.

as Germany and France declined to join the fight, it was determined that they were ineligible for the "spoils of war" which turned out to be basically a huge US government contract to give Iraq a shitload of free stuff and rebuild their country at US taxpayer's expense.

You break it you bought it...

LOGCAP III was competitively awarded to KBR in 2001, long before American forces were in Iraq. LOGCAP III was the root of everything.

And those certainly weren't the only companies capable of fulfilling the contract. Dyncorp held LOGCAP II and Dyncorp is now one of the holders of LOGCAP IV.

that is not how the No-Bid contract deal was explained to me by an Econ professor.

but then im just a farmboy. telling the frogs and krauts to pound sand because they didnt join the fight makes more sense to me than interlocking series of contracts.

but i could be wrong. fuck, even in the Marshal Plan, US and limey firms got preferential treatment over frog guinea and kraut firms. (not racist cuz they are all europeans lol)

so i have to buy new funeral clothes for a robber i shoot when he tries to demand my wallet?

maybe in kagaroo country but not here in the good ole US of A

Dude, we went there in v1 and broke half the place, then the next decade was spent bombing anything new they built, then comes v2, we bomb the place again; proper this time only to rebuild it so THEY can bomb it in a western instigated sectarian civil war.

And you don't see the irony or the reason the US footed the bill? I've told you before and it's well documented that Saddam could've been ousted, tried and executed by his own people with only the covert backing from Washington - at a cost that isn't even comparable to the bill you've been left with. This could've been done WITHOUT full scale military intervention - TWICE and would've left the both Iraqis and Americans better off...

To add insult to injury, the Clinton administration then tries to scapegoat a career intelligence officer over attempting to assassinate Saddam Hussein...

I was going to say that I was puzzled about Schlumberger's inclusion in the list because that company isn't even a private military contractor, but I think I figured it out. KBR got a "no bid contract" to fight oil well fires in Iraq, something Schlumberger probably could have done. But it wasn't really a no bid contract because it was awarded under LOGCAP III like the rest of the Iraq contracts were--KBR only got it because they won the competitive LOGCAP contract.

It is true that there are only a handful of companies capable of bidding on LOGCAP, of course, given how substantial the military is. Rather than awarding LOGCAP to one company as had occurred in the previous three iterations, LOGCAP IV has three independent contractors competing to do the LOGCAP work. Alas, I'm not sure they've saved much money.

the isue discussed by my Econ professor freind was the Oil Services Contract to rebuild iraq's poil infrastructure and modernize their wells pumping system and port facilities. he made a strong case that only Halliburton, schlumberer, and the french company who i can never remember were the only companies capable of doing the job, and the frogs and krauts were eliminated by their govt's refusal to join the Iraq Blanket Party.

whiteness and wealth are not indictments you racist marxist sack of shit.

white people are on the average more educated, therefore, liberalism, leftism and democrat politics are the domain of the uneducated.
white people on average have more money than minorities, thus being black must make people poor.
wealthy people are generally less likely to be leftists, thus leftism causes poverty.
wealthy people are generally more likely to protect the liberties of themselves and others, and are LESS likely to be armed robbers, therefore anyone who is not rich and white is a highwayman or bandit.

specious assumptions based on a slogan are all you have to offer.

Hmmm.......
