Where can i get some high watt spiral cfl's for flowering? or basically what i need is lighting for 8-9 plants...has to be CFL...I already have a 250w HPS. How much more lighting do i need for the 8-9 plants?

you could actually pick up the same thing listed on that web site at a local hardware store for a fraction of the price. i just got a bulb and an 8" silver dome thing for $15 at my neighborhood hardware

first post!!!! i've been a silent cruiser but had to say something before you spend any $

I would buy these If you can order from the internet.
Check out this link to cfl lights at stealth hydro.
SH Hydroponics > Horticultural Light Systems

I am sure they sell these lights at some domestic store but I have not seen them.
Thanks, But No Thanks....I found a spot were i can get 6 42w CFLs for $18 shipped on the interent...is that a good deal??

I'm willing to bet money that you can not find an 85 watt cfl cheaper in a hardware store. Yes, you can get a 24 watt and reflector for $16. Lowes and Home Depot carry up to 42 watts with regular size screw ins, but you have to buy a flood light to get a 65 watt CFL and they are $69 in the fixture.
StealthHydro prices for 65, and 85 wattcan not be beat unless you buy a case of 12. AND you need both red and blue spectrum, find that in a hardware store ! Look at lights in GROWFAQ at the link at the top of this page.

What site is this? That is a great deal. I've been buying 42w cfls at Wal-Mart for about $8.48 ea.

TheHomeDepot has 100watt fluoro flood lamps in fixture for $59.00ea

Rosie,

Thanks for the really quick reply. I printed out your information & will take it with me to Lowes.

I'm currently using the Aero Grow lights plus three grow lights I bought at Walmart.

I'm in the flowering stage so I will get the red spectrum bulbs. Can I use them in conjunction with the grow lights that I'm currently using?

I could not reply with a PM as the site tells me your message bin is full

Thanks so much for the help.

Peace, O2
