I plan on growing as many auto's as I can in a 5x5 closet
I am currently running intending for a photoperiod plant but have changed my mind.
I'm seeing all these grows on youtube
And they are pukking great amounts in timeframes.
They all are using led lighting.
I want to plug in a light and not have to worry about other issues
I have a fan filter combo I'm currently using a 400 watt mh/hps with the hood i can hook the ducting to to help control temps.
So should i use the light i already have or switch to an led?

That 400 watt light is only good for a 3x3 footprint. You deffinately need suplimental lighting.

Was intending on just growing 1 plant originally

New plan what size or type led or led's would i need for that area? Originally was supposed to be a 600 in the room but loaned it out and am now working with what I have
Would like to only purchase 1 more light set up
Is why I'm asking

LED is PogChamp. 5X5 will require 600-800watts led

Which would be a good one? I'm looking and Omylanta so many options...
Thanks for narrowing down the wattage and my search tho for real.
Any COB build from Timber, any of the HLG Quantum board setups, COBkits, Pacific Lighting Concepts, BC Blondes. Probably a few more I can't think of right now.

Migro is not too bad at 2.2 uMols/J - I would like them more if they would not drive the COBs so hard. They could hit 2.5 uMol/J if they would run them at 50W each.
It’s hreat ,not heat issue and super effective .
I’ve alteady fall in love with mine

Autos don't need the intensity photos do. You'd b ok with 400w of good led in that space, i wouldnt go over 500. Run them 24/7 unless u have heat issues during part of the day. Check out autocobs for a modular solution.

I haven't had luck with dwc and led. Imo u will need a chiller cuz with cobs, room temp should be 80+ and dwc likes it cooler. I have had good luck with dtw coir tho which is easy and cheap.
